小波变换是近几年发展起来的集数学、信息处理于一体的新理论，它在信号分析、特别是图像处理中起着重要的作用。本文简单介绍了图像处理分解，在此基础上详细分析了图像经小波变换后的系数情况，以供进一步编码之用。

In this paper, emphasis is placed on the wavelet theory and isapplication in image data compression. At first We made a brief introduction of digital image decomposition and reconstruction. Then, based on the knowledge of this theory, we analyze the coeffient of wavelet transformation for digital image. In the end of this paper, an experimental example is given, and it proves the result that we have resented.
