The distribution feature of sandy soil and cohesive soil was found out for the main at Tianjin canal of middle route from south to north water transfer project,by using diversified methods of geophysical exploration,for instance,electrical sounding and seismic reflection method and ground penetrating radar.The result obtained by these methods of geophysical prospecting had met the requirenents of this task.It is showm to achieve good result in the investigation.
