With the distribution system reconstruction project of certain communications operator’s telecommunication hub building as an example, the classifications of communication load are described, including ordinary load and guaranteed load, and the methods to estimate the short-and long-term load expounded. Then according to the load estimation, reasonable reconstruction project for low-voltage distribution is proposed, thus to solve the problems in the construction of hub building. Meanwhile, the use and selection of low-voltage distribution devices is discussed, these devices include low-voltage distribution boards, low-voltage circuit breaker, surge protector, reactive power compensation device and so on, thus providing a reliable basis for the project implementation.
