The cooling water systems of the new and old lance that used by ANSC the third steel making continuous rolling plant 260t BOF were compared and analyzed. The cooling water system of the new lance was optimized and designed. The practices result shows that circulating water resistance of the new lance is small, and cooling intensity of lance is enhanced. The service life of lance is prolonged.
