C_(10) aromatics hydrocarben was an important chemical raw material,the direct use and indirect use of C_(10) aromatics hydrocar-ben were discussed,and the products including 1,2,4,5-teramethybenzene,petronaphthalene,methyl-naphthalene,benzene,tolueneand xylene,etc.were explained in detailed.The process of producing C_(10) aromatics hydrocarbon unit and the advanced technology ofthe conversion of heavy aromatics to Light aromatics abroad were described.The advantages and shortcomings of some representativetechnologies of the conversion of heavy aromatics to light aromatics,such as Toray TAC9,ZEOLYST/SK and Trans-Plus,were ana-lyzed.The key future trends in this field were Wesented.According to the characteristics of the conversion reaction,the molecularsieves with small particle size and large pore diameter should be chosen as an active ingredient of solid acid catalysts to produce xylene.And the technical proposal and process flow,etc.also were discussed.The future exploitation and eoprehensive utilization of C_(10) aro-matics hydrocarbon were also presented on the basis of the literature reviewing.Improving the overall efficiency and the deep processingof raw materials of C_(10) aromatics hydrocarbon were of great significance.
