A highly selective and rapid anodic adsorptive voltammetric method was developed for the determination of trace amount of bisphenol A(BPA)at a carbon paste electrode(CPE).The BPA was adsorbed on the surface of the CPE in Na_2 HPO_4-NaH_2 PO_4(pH 7.0) yielding one oxidation peak at 0.63 V (vs.SCE).The relationship between the peak current and BPA concentration iS linear in a range of 2.0×10~(-8)~8.0×10~(-6)mol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9963.The detection limit iS 1.0×10~(-8) mol/L (SIN=3) for 110 s acummulation.The electrode reaction mechanism of BPA was investigated.The proposed method was applied to direct determination of trace BPA in sample with satisfied results.
