Surgery is one of the most important therapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The importance of negative margins at the time of surgery has been well documented in decreasing recurrence rates. Studies show that molecular detection can evaluate surgical margin in early stage and more accurately compared with routine pathological examination,which is significant for prognosis and postoperative therapy.
