It was carried out an analysis of L-section steel column under axial load with the finite element method. Considering the influence of non-elasticity and initial imperfections, the buckling analysis of characteristic root and nonlinear buckling analysis have been conducted. The results of the buckling analysis have been compared with the column curve of the code. The finite element analysis of L-section steel column is proved to be effective.
