西方社会理论的核心人物吉登斯和贝克认为,马克思对现代社会的批判同对资本主义生产过程的批判是同一的,在马克思看来,正是这个生产过程暴露了为它服务的政治经济制度的潜在矛盾性和自裂性。作为经典的社会学家,马克思提出的社会理论也是现代社会理论架构过程中跨越不了的门槛。同时,吉登斯和贝克通过对马克思的历史观、社会观的批判,来解释其＂错过＂了＂风险社会＂课题的原因。虽然马克思的经典理论确实没有直接论述风险社会的专题,我们必须要看到,从马克思主义理论视野审视当代风险社会理论仍然蕴含着数个重要的视角。

As the magnates of western risk society theory,A.Giddens and U.Beck hold that Marx＇s criticism of the modern society is identical to his criticism of capitalist production process.According to Marx,it is the production process that reveals the potential contradiction and self-split in the political and economic system that serves the production.As a classical sociologist,Marx＇s theory is also a height not to be surpassed by modern social theory framework construction.At the same time,they try to explain why Marx has ＂missed＂ the ＂risk society issue＂ through their criticism to Marx＇s view on history and society.Despite that there were indeed no direct illustration of ＂risk society＂ in Marx＇s classical works,it must be clearly recognized that it still entails several important perspective to inspect contemporary risk society theory from Marxist theoretical perspective.
