Osteoclasts stand the core place of the researching on bone destruction of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).The latest hotspots-RANKL(receptor activator of NF-κB ligand)and interleukin-17(secreted by Th17)are tightly related to the differentiation and the function of osteoclasts.The receptors,adaptors,kinases and transcription factors in osteoclasts(precursors)are important to fusion,proliferation,survival,cytoskeleton remodeling,and bone resorption of osteoclasts(precursors).
