The mathematical models for distribution network static and dynamic reactive optimization were introduced as well as simplified treatment for the model of distribution network characteristic were presented.The conventional algorithm and meta-heuristic algorithm applied to the distribution network were summarized;some improvements on the model and algorithm were investigated.
