In the winter of 2008, an infectious disease broke out in a pig farm in Xinxiang, which is characterized by dyspnea and fever. According to epidemiology investigation, clinical symptoms and pathological changes at autopsy, laboratory diagnosises, including detection of P. multocida and swine influenza viruses, were carried out on purpose, which confirmed that the outbreaks of disease was caused by P. multocida infection secondary to swine infuenza.
