现代无线通讯技术GPRS/SMS、与GIS/GPS技术,以及现代数学分析方法的发展,为环境监测的无线、全自动执行提供了技术可能。通过GPRS、GPS相结合实现监测信息的无线实时获取,在建立数据仓库的基础上利用模型分析得出预警信息,通过GIS与Internet技术实现网络端的信息发布,同时通过SMS技术实现通讯终端的信息主动服务。
