Flocculation was one of the most common methods in wastewater treatment,and lignin and its derivatives as a flocculant was the main research fields to utilization of black liquor.The characteristics of wastewater industries were introduced,focusing on the recent research of lignin flocculants for the wastewater treatment in all sectors.Finally,the development trend of the flocculant was predited.
