尼日利亚著名作家钦努阿.阿契比的长篇小说《草原蚁丘》被《今日美国》描述为＂将为世人铭记。这幅社会变迁的图景挟裹着预言般的力量,击打我们的心灵。＂运用后殖民主义的自我殖民理论,分析了西方文化殖民对西非的影响。东西两种文化间的从属／支配关系内化为受殖者的自我意识,他们物化穷人,自我憎恨,自我否定,进而在此意识形态作用之下进行自我殖民,模仿西方殖民者对本族人民进行残暴统治。

This paper analyzes the influence of cultural colonialism on West Africa by using the concept of self-colonization in post-colonialism.Subordination and domination between the two cultures internalize the self-consciousness of the colonized,which animalizes the native people,makes them hate and negate themselves.Then they self-colonize themselves and imitate the western colonizer to control the native people cruelly.
