The function and existing problems of storage battery which was the power supply soure in DC system were introduced.The maintenance methods of several kinds of storage battery were contrasted and analyzed.Taking the new type ES/10 storage battery activation instrument as the example,the working principle and use method of storage battery activation instrumeut were discussed deeply.It had been applied in some electric monitoring system successfully and was stably for many years.
