The progresses of preparing techniques for spinel-type ferrite nanopowders were summarized.The formation mechanism and processing characteristics of typical preparing techniques including solid state method,highenergy ball-milling,polymer-pyrolysis route,self-propagating hish-temperature synthesis,co-precipitation method,hydrothermal synthesis method,sol-gel method as well as micro-emulsion method were described emphatically.The future prospects of the preparation for spinel-type ferrites nanopowders were also forecasted.
