A wideband othomede transducer based on symmetrical five-port junction is described.The dual-polarized signal is separated into two orthogonal signals by the five-port junction.A pair of identical waveguide junctions(dual junction),which are symmertrically situated with respect to the common waveguide,is allocated to each dominant mode.Consequently,each junction provides half of the signal energy supplied by the dedicated dominant mode.Appropriate combination of 3 dB signal portions of a dual junction must be accomplished by additional components to provide total signal energy of the dedicated polarization at one interface port.A wideband othomode transducer includes five-port junction,power-dividers and some connection devices.The analysis method and the designed wideband othomode Transducer have been validated with experimental resairs.
