　　随着全球化进程的加快，中国急需加强对外报道，向世界传达自己的声音，提高新闻编译的质量在对外交流中也显得日益重要。导语在很大程度上决定着信息传达的质量，是对外新闻的重要组成部分。本文在中译英翻译原则，特别是新闻翻译原则的指导下，通过收集中外报刊及相关专著中具有代表性的导语编译实例，归纳出三种新闻导语及其编译方法。并从导语编译的外宣效果出发，对其编译原则进行进一步探讨，最终总结出对外新闻导语编译原则---出发点原则和重要性原则。

With the rapid globalization,China is in urgent need of conveying its voice to the world by the means of international reporting .Lead, as an important component in international news,plays a decisive role in determining the quality of the information conveyed .This paper in-tends to do research on lead trans -editing in inductive and analytical ways by collecting some typi -cal examples from newspapers of China and abroad under the guidance of Chinese -English transla-tion principles,especially the news translation principles .The author analyzes three kinds of news leads and their respective trans -editing methods.Further analysis is given on lead trans -editing principles from the perspective of four communication effects of lead trans -editing.Finally,lead trans -editing principles in international news reporting are concluded .
