教育是国家繁荣昌盛的根本，也是提升国际竞争力的关键，尤其是义务教育在促进经济社会发展和提高人口综合素质方面有着重要作用。而少数民族地区义务教育制度的落后面貌已经严重影响到当地经济社会的发展繁荣。本文通过对少数民族地区义务教育现状及原因进行了分析，探寻了更好的义务教育发展对策。

Education is the root of national prosperity and the decisive factor in improving international competitiveness, compulsory education especially plays an important role in promoting social and economic development and improving population comprehensive quality. The backwardness of compulsory education system in ethnic minority areas has seriously influenced the development and prosperity of local economic society. This paper analyzes the status quo and causes of compulsory education in ethnic minority areas and probes into better developing strategies for compulsory education.
