从水稻(Oryza sativa L.)协青早B的辐射M2群体中获得以最上节间伸长为特征的长穗颈高秆突变系协青早eB_1和协青早eB_2,与原品系协青早B的秆性状相比,协青早eB_2的第一节间长占总秆长的65.3%, 其第一节间的增长量占秆长总增长量的90.2%;协青早eB_1的第一节间长占总秆长的54.8%,其第一节间的增长量占秆长总增长量的53.3%。遗传分析表明:协青早eB_1和协青早eB_2中的长穗颈高秆性状各由一对隐性基因控制,二者之间互不等位。与已报道的eui基因的等位性测验表明:协青早eB_2的eui基因与其不等位,为新的长穗颈高秆隐性基因,命名为eui2;协青早eB_1的eui基因则与其等位。微卫星分析表明:eui2基因与第10染色体的RM258、RM269、RM271和RM304连锁,其遗传距离分别为12.0 cM、12.9 cM、35.1 cM、1.4 cM。由此推断,eui2基因位于第10染色体长臂的中部。

Two mutants possessing elongated uppermost internode, Xieqingzao eB_1 (XQZeB_1) and Xieqingzao eB_2 (XQZeB_2), were identified from M2 population of Xieqingzao B_line (XQZB) treated with γ_ray. The proportion of uppermost internode length to entire culm length of XQZeB_2 and XQZeB_1 were 65.3% and 54.8%, respectively. Compared with the original XQZB, the increased length of uppermost internode of XQZeB_2 contributed to the total increased culm length by 90.2% as well as XQZeB_1 by 53.3%. Genetic analysis showed that the characters of elongated uppermost internode in the two mutants were governed by one pair of recessive gene respectively. The recessive gene of XQZeB_1 is allelic to the reported eui, but that of XQZeB_2 is non_allelic to it by allelic test. Therefore, the elongated_uppermost_internode gene of XQZeB_2 is a new gene, designated as eui2. Microsatellite markers RM258, RM269, RM271 and RM304, which were linked with eui2 and located on chromosome 10, were identified. The genetic distances from the four markers to eui2 were 12.0 cM, 12.9 cM, 35.1 cM, 1.4 cM, respectively. It could be concluded that eui2 gene was located on the middle of the long arm of chromosome 10.
