The poly(L-tryptophan) modified electrode was prepared,and the electrochemical behavior of ofloxacin at the poly(L-tryptophan) modified electrode was studied. Electrochemical experimental results showed that the electrochemical behavior of OFL in pH 5. 0 Britton-Robinson Buffer Solution( B-R) was an irreversible electrochemical oxidation process at PLT modified electrode and that the oxidation peak potential (E_(pa)) was 0. 950V. Within the scanning rate of 40~400 mV·s~(-1) ,the oxidation peak current had a linear relationship with scanning rate, indicating that the voltammetric behavior of OFL at the PLT modified electrode was an adsorption-limited electrode process. The variations of the oxidation peak currents with OFL concentration were examined by CV and it was found that a linear relationship existed between them in the range of 5. 53 × 10~(-6)~1.11 × 10~(-6)mol·L~(-1). The correlation coefficient was - 0. 9978, and the detection limit was 8. 65 ×10~(-8) mol·L~(-1). The recovery was in the range of 93.4%~107. 8% , The proposed method was applied to the determination of OFL in tablet samples.
