指令级模拟器是处理器及嵌入式系统设计的重要工具,也是进行系统体系结构软件设计评估、系统软件设计开发及软硬件协同开发的有利工具.传统的指令集模拟器大多针对特定目标系统而设计,具有极大的目标依赖性.文章提出了一种基于插件构建技术的方法,利用插件的独立性、封闭性和利于扩展的特性,极大提高了多目标系统的开发效率.

Instruction Set Simulator (ISS) is an important tool in design of processors and embedded systems. Also, it's powerful in designing and evaluating system architecture software, developing system software, and collaborative developing hardware and software. Traditional simulators only aim at the given processors, and have great limitations. In this paper,a solution based on plug-in design technique is presented. This technique can enhance greatly the exploitation efficiency of multi-target systems by taking advantage of the characteristics of plug-in, such as independence,closure, expan-sibility.
