In this paper, a solution in ship shaft generator-motor system is introduced, the structure and operating principle of the system are explained in detail. Meanwhile, the necessity and technical requirements of ship shaft generator-motor system are analyzed. Besides, various operating modes is analyzed and control solution in starting and operating process of the system is discussed.
