With the development of economy and expansion of traffic in our country, it has become one of the problems that our bridge builders have to consider as how to broaden the existing old bridges. This article first tries to sort out the conditions under which the bridge needs to be broadened, then focuses on the broadening ways and finally deals with the splicing skills during bridge broadening.
