The friction and wear behavior of carbon-graphite materials whichhave the closest relationship with carbon-carbon composites has been summarized, while the current state of the tribological investigation on carbon-carbon composites reviewed according to lower and higher energy levels respectively. Some topics for future research are suggested as well. It has been suggested that further work done in order to realize anticipated controlling of the friction and wear behavior of the C-C composites and deepened recognition of their wear mechanisms.
