Based on the measured deformation data of Xiganchi Trial Tunnel for the Mid-route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, a back analysis is made on with the 3D finite difference procedure FLAC~(3D) ; from which the obtained mechanical pa-rameters of the surrounding rock is basically coincident with those from the in-situ test concerned, and then the methods and conclusions given herein can be used for the calculation on the stability of the surrounding rock of the tunnel, so as to optimize the design and guide the construction.
