Three major factors leading to the decline of the quality of petroleum coke sincluding the high impurity content, and the increases of powder coke and pill-shape coke, and their harms to the quality of the carbon anode were analyzed deeply. Some preventive measures for that were proposed, which could be paid more attention to the quality of petroleum coke by petrochemical and carbon industries.
