A new 1H-pyrazole compound: 3(5)-(4-(benzyloxy) phenyl)-5 (3)-(furan-2-yl)-lH-pyrazole (3) was synthesized from β-diketone and hydrazine hydrate. The composition and structure of the new compound were characterized by means of el-emental analysis, IR, ~1HNMR and ESI-MS. A strong peak of dimeric ions [2M]~+ was observed in the ESI-MS spectra attribut-ed to the formation of dimers by intermolecular N H…N hydro-gen bonds.
