老子在古今中外享有盛誉，老子的思想对中华民族的影响源远流长。老子的道廉思想具有内隐性，他提倡要少私寡欲、知足知止；以人为本、尊道贵德；以正治国、廉政爱民。它启发当代领导干部要清心寡欲、廉政为民，不断加强党性修养，提高拒腐防变能力。学习和研究老子的道廉思想，对于传播和弘扬廉政文化，加强我党的廉政建设，做到以人为本、构建和谐社会具有重要意义。
노자재고금중외향유성예，노자적사상대중화민족적영향원원류장。노자적도렴사상구유내은성，타제창요소사과욕、지족지지；이인위본、존도귀덕；이정치국、렴정애민。타계발당대령도간부요청심과욕、렴정위민，불단가강당성수양，제고거부방변능력。학습화연구노자적도렴사상，대우전파화홍양렴정문화，가강아당적렴정건설，주도이인위본、구건화해사회구유중요의의。
Lao-tzu （a Chinese philosopher in the Spring and Autumn Period） enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad of all time. His thoughts have a great impact on Chinese nation. His idea concerning integrity possesses an implicit feature. He advocates less desires, self-contentment, people orientation, respect of morals, upright governing of a country, integrity and love of the people. These ideas have enlightenments on contemporary cadres and require them to rid themselves of desires, righteously serve the people, continuously improve their Party spirit, and enhance the ability of anti-corruption. Studies and researches of Lao-tzu＇s thoughts have a significant meaning to spread and popularize anti-corruption culture, strengthen our Party＇s anti-corruption construction, reach the people-oriented level and constitute a harmonious society.
