Aiming at the liquid-solid two-phase reaction in hypo solution in which silver is replaced by reduced iron powder and compact layer is produced, a general kinetic equation was established and solved. In this equation, the silver density of fixer and geometric area of reduced iron powder change over time, and Philip factor is not restricted. It is more accurate and reasonable to use this kinetic equation to deal with liquid-solid two-phase reaction than methods in previous research. This equation could also be applied in gas-solid reaction.
