The nitro-musk compounds musk xylene and musk ketone were more and more concerned because of their harm to the environment and human-body.This paper summarizes the physical and chemical properties,and safety evaluation of musk xylene and musk ketone.It reviews the detection methods of musk xylene and musk ketone in different samples from sample preparation and test technology,and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each method.
