最近一百多年以来，《道德经》英译本在西方一直不断推出。由于其时空的巨大跨越，不同英译本都有着各自的特色与缺陷。选取了两个时代不同、风格迥异的英文译本，进行了宏观和微观的对比分析，以期更清楚地理清不同译本的可取之处．从而推动译本的引介及研究。

Tao Te Ching is a sacred book that has been most translated in the past centuries. Versions of the sacred book by different translators display various features and embody diversified perceptions. A comparative study is made on the two translations by James Leggie and Stephen Mitchell respectively, aiming to entice further research on the book of wisdom.
