An apotheosis of communist morality, Mao Zedong made great contributions to the development of a socialist moral system in China. While leading the Communist Party and the people in the proletarian revolution and socialist construction, Mao developed his moral education theory that is compatible with the uniqueness of the Chinese context. In our present endeavor to promote socialist moral education, it is of strategic importance and contemporary relevance to define the value of moral education, construct a moral education content architecture, and explore new approaches to moral education.
