Continuous nanofiber can be conveniently produced by electrospinning technology, which provides a new filtering media for filtration. The structural and property characteristics of nanofibrous filtering media are reviewed, the current state of liquid filtration and air filtration by using the nanofibrous filtering media is addressed, and based on this,a prospect of the developing trend of electrospun nanofibers as filtering media is given.
