For the purpose of an effective result,teaching of English for TCM should have the enhancement of students'ability in English translation as its focus,to really enable the students to gain from and put into practice what they learn in the classroom.Accordingly,in the course of education.emphasis should be laid on approaches of the growth of vocabulary,expressions,and sentence patterns,and on the development of their language sense,so as to lay a solid foundation for their further practice.Students should also be required to improve the ability to comprehend accurately the original versions of TCM.On the other hand,to broaden their scope of view,they should be encouraged to read widely masterpieces of English translations of TCM by both Chinese and overseas scholars,methods helpful to improve their ability to put TCM into English.
