代谢组学是继基因组学、转录组学和蛋白质组学之后的一门新兴学科,目前已成功地运用到多学科领域,在疾病诊断、药物评价以及临床研究中发挥了重要作用.代谢组学的研究内容是生物体系中小分子代谢中间体和终产物,核磁共振和色谱-质谱的分析技术是代谢组学研究的两种主要技术手段.现综述近年来代谢组学分析技术及数据处理技术的研究进展,重点讨论代谢组学在糖尿病研究领域的应用,并对当前代谢组学研究中存在的问题及发展趋势进行探讨.

Metabonomics is becoming a new branch of science after genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics, which has been successfully applied in lots of fields such as disease diagnosis, pharmaceutical re-search and clinical therapy. The main research objects of metabonomics are the metabolites with low molecu-lar weight in a given bio-system. At present,nuclear magnetic resonance and chromatography mass-spectrome-try based methodologies are the main two types of technologies in metabonomics. In this paper, the recent de-velopment of the analytical and data processing techniques used in metabonomics are reviewed. And the ap-plications of metabonomics in the field of diabetes mellitus are mainly discussed. The problems and the future perspective of metabonomics research were also discussed.
