Ultrafine zircon powder with high purity is a kind of brightening agent in glaze for making high-grade cleaning whiteware. Wet ultrafine grinding is the key operation for producing ultrafine zircon power with high purity, and directly affects the size distribution, d50 and whiteness of the final products. This paper lays emphasis on researching wet grinding process parameters for producing ultrafine zircon power, such as the weight ratio of ball to feed material, grinding density and time, and weight assignment with different ball sizes, and their effects on quality of zircon power.
