Regulatory T cells are a kind of T cell subset with immunosuppressive properties.The clarification of Foxp3 gene function and progress in molecular biological studies have brought new insights into regulatory T cells.It has been elucidated that regulatory T cells have negative immunoregulatory effect,and can inhibit the activation and proliferation of,as well as the secretion of cytokines by,CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.Studies have shown that regulatory T cells play a crucial role in the pathogenesis,treatment and prognosis of dermatoses.The authors make a summary on the roles of regulatory T cells in inflammafory,autoimmune dermatoses and skin tumors.
