This paper describes some typical processes in salt making with brine and the main process flow for production of caustic soda and soda ash with brine.The possibility and basic methods of pollutant and gas storage in salt cavity are discussed.It is proposed to strengthen the research in the industry and change the accustomed concept of only producing salt with brine and to provide opportunity for the scientific and reasonable utilization of salt cavity,and to create conditions for producing caustic soda and soda ash with brine directly and combining the production of salt and alkali.
