N - (p - Carboxyphenyl) γ acid was synthesized by Bucherer reacter method. The factors influencing the reaction were also discussed and the optimum conditions were set. The optimum process conditions were as follows. The ratio of raw materials 2,8 - Two hydroxy naphthalene - 6 - Sodium sulfonate , Amino benzoic acid , Sodium bisulfite and Sodium hydroxide was 1 : 1.04:4.8 : 1.85. When the temperature was 104 centigrase, its return time was 16 hours , and its mother liquor could be appied at least three times. The average yield of the optimum was 92.5% .
