莫来石的导热系数低、高温下体积稳定性好,适合用来制备轻质耐火材料。以硅石粉和工业氧化铝为起始物料,加入一定量的烧失物,通过在1350℃下煅烧6h制得了微孔莫来石轻质骨料。研究了碳黑、焦炭和无烟煤这三种烧失物对合成的莫来石骨料体积密度、气孔孔径分布、莫来石生成量及组织结构的影响。认为,不同的烧失物对微孔莫来石的体积密度、莫来石的生成量、莫来石的组织结构影响较大,而对微孔莫来石中的气孔孔径分布影响不明显。用无烟煤作烧失物,得到的微孔莫来石体积密度最小,莫来石的生成量最高,结构均匀。

Mullite has lower thermal conductivity, advanced volume stability at high temperature, and is suitable to manufacture lightweight refractories. The micropored mullite has been fabricated by Using industrial alumina and nature silica as starting materials, adding some burning -out materials, then fired at 1350℃ for 6h. The influences on the bulk density, pore size distribution, mullite content and mierostrueture of mieropored mullite by adding these different burning - out materials, such as carbon black, coke, and anthracite, have been investigated. It is concluded that the influences of different burning - out materials on the bulk density, mullite content, and microstructure of mieropored mullite are significant. These three burning -out materials have a similar effect for the pore size distribution. The micropored mullite has the smallest bulk density, the highest mullite content, and more uniform microstructure by using anthracite as the burning- out material.
