鄱阳湖水利枢纽是一项以综合开发利用水资源、保护鄱阳湖水域生态与环境、促进湖区人民健康安全等为主要目标的大型水利枢纽项目。该项目的实施会给旅游发展带来新的契机：一是水利枢纽闸址可以开展闸址观赏、水利科普等旅游项目,湖面可以开展大规模亲水运动休闲项目;二是因湖面高程基本稳定,增加了旅游环境容量,原有旅游项目可以得到整合提升和优化改善,还可以因地制宜开发新的旅游项目,优化鄱阳湖旅游产品布局;三是对大环湖地区甚至整个江西旅游业有较大的带动效应;四是能够产生提高全民环保意识,改善人居环境,带来就业机会等社会效益。

The Poyang Lake hydro junction is a hydropower project with primary objectives to exploit and utilize water resources, protect the water ecology and environment, and promote the health and safety of the citizens living in the lake area. The implementation of this project would bring new chances to tourism development. Firstly, the tourism events like viewing the brake address and popularizing the science of water conservancy could be launched. Secondly, because of the stable elevation of the water in lake, the environmental capacity of tourism will be increased, which will integrate and improve the original tourism events. Moreover, according to local conditions, new tourism events that will optimize the distribution of tourism products in Poyang Lake could be developed. Thirdly, implementing the hydro junction project would drive the tourist industry of the lake area, even of Jiangxi province. Fourthly, lots of social benefits will appear, such as improvement of the sense of protecting environment among citizens, betterment of the human living environment, and more employment opportunities.
