Application status of foreign and domestic cold in-place recycling (CIR) technique were introduced. The status of old asphalt pavement was evaluated based on PCI and SSI indexes. The mix design of CIR used as surface course was studied, and recycled mixture performance tests were also evaluated, moreover, optimal asphalt emulsion and cement content were determined. The construction techniques were summarized based on construction process with foreign advanced CIR devices. The results indicate that asphalt emulsion CIR is an effective asphalt pavement preservation and maintenance measure.
