In this paper, it is reported the synthesis of a new type of nanostructured film that is composed of needle-shaped TiO2 particles through an acetic acid modified sol-gel method. It was found that the morphology of as-prepared nanostructured films could be manipulated by varying the conditions of sol-gel process. The formation mechanism of sucha microstructure was theoretically analyzed.
