In this paper, the influence of the temperature distribution andthe temperature fluctuation on the laser cladding technique of WC-Co alloy is studied. How to decrease the influences of the temperature fluctuation and the inhomogeneous temperature distribution on the laser cladding technique is discussed. Furthermore, the bi-peak temperature distribution in the melt pool is discovered and studied.
