The development process and the performances of product with a dry production process for the non-asbestos disc brake block PSZ65A were introduced, and the reasons of heat fade and heat wear for friction materials were analyzed in this paper. Through the use of high temperature resistant resin, non-metallic mineral fibers, vermiculite, mica, diatomite, bentonite and other non-metallic mineral function fillers, the non-asbestos brake block for drilling rig with a stable friction coefficient, and a low wear rate was developed.
