The status and problems of periodical press and its four periodicals of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information from China Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences were analyzed. The sustainable development strategy of the periodicals with tropical agricultural characteristics was discussed, including scientific management, prominent characteristics, improved quality and reinforced planning.
