Reducing the fuel consumption of running vehicles is one of the important contents to realize energy-saving and emission reduction in China. According to the current situation of vehicle fuel consumption, various subjective and objective factors effecting fuel consumption were analysed, and some measures to reduce fuel consumption were put forward, which had great signif-icance in guiding the sustainable and steady development of road transportation.
