Rutting is a major distress form found in asphalt pavements. Past research has shown that conventional elastic-linear model can be applied for rutting analysis of asphalt pavement. The rutting resistance of the pavement system is evaluated through the maximum compress strain transmitted to the top of the sub-grade layer.The simulations are conducted under a parametric study to investigate the beneficial effects of the thickness and the module to the rutting criteria based on uniform design. It is another approach to improve the rutting assistance of the asphalt pavement.
